Pineapple Fields at Dole Phils Polomolok

Last Saturday, little sister, my mother, and I were brought along by my aunt and her family for a day trip to General Santos City and Polomolok. We started early in the morning and had a quick stop in GenSan at 8AM to meet my cousin Wilson and his girlfriend. Then we continued on to Dole Philippines where my aunt's youngest works.

The expansive fields have pineapples in different planting and growth stages. And according to Wikipedia, as of 2004, at least 15 hectares is allocated for the production of pineapples.

Camella House Interiors

The following photos were taken last June when my brother and I visited Camella Homes' model houses. It's one of the perks of having someone in the real estate business, visiting pretty houses. Here in the Philippines, most of the houses have small floor areas. But what amazes me is how much they are transformed by interior designers by using the right layout, color, and furnishings. You could really get home ideas for small spaces. These are some of my favorites:

White and neutrals are my favorite, that's why I like Scandinavian design. I wanted to know who their suppliers were, too bad the caretaker did not know.

Inside that door behind the fridge lived a boy named Harry.

Crochet Owls and then some

crochet owl baby shoes and headband

I'm surrounded by a lot of babies! :)
This owl set is for Raine's second baby, who will be baptized this July.
For the owl on the headband, I followed Love the Blue Bird's pattern.

Food Tubes on the rise

River Cottage Food Tube
It's been almost a year since we had our cable subscription disconnected. The outcome: I've been watching less on television, but more online. It didn't really matter as I was still able to follow my favorite television series and watch movies. But what I missed the most and couldn't find online alternatives to was the Asian Food Channel.

I love cooking shows and have grown to like some of the chefs on AFC programs. Watching them is like having a relaxation ritual. Fortunately, because of my current fondness for YouTube, I've found some interesting stuff.

I first subscribed to Cooking with Ai, a Japanese cooking channel, the result of watching too much Japanese and Korean dramas. Then other shows kept popping up on the related videos. Once I finally subscribed to Jamie Oliver's Food Tube, the experience was overwhelming! They're all there. Well, not everyone, but some of them is better than nothing. I could watch River Cottage again, discovered Gennaro Contado, a very passionate Italian chef, and surprised by a mellowed down Gordon Ramsay. Watch below for a breakfast recipe treat.

French Food at Home's Laura Calder and the New Scandinavian Cooking team would make my AFC complete!
